Often
we are tempted to wonder, "Who am I?"
Ponder
this question, because there is a good answer.
Remember that you are:
·
Female. Males have difficulty understanding what makes
a female "tick." He finds it impossible
to grasp your perspective, unless you tell him. Neither can you grasp what being
male is like. A beginning place is to understand
that (females are created in the image of God: female) you always will be; men
are created male!) "So God created man in his own image, in the image of
God created he him; male and female created he them." (Gen.1:27) The Creator
Who made the differences does not need to explain Himself unless or until He pleases: "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
(Isa 55:9)
·
Created
to glorify God. If you do this one thing
in life you will be successful ... God says
of mankind, "I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have
made him." (Isa 43:7)
·
In
His own image. Male AND Female made He them
(Gen 1:27). Somehow when someone looks
at you, they are seeing a facet of God.
·
Unique. There is no one else like you -- like every snowflake,
every blade of grass, every leaf on a tree you are the only one ever made just like
you; "fearfully and wonderfully made." (Ps 139.14)
·
Gifted. You have gifts...likely many! You are awesome, from your DNA, every cell:
ponder the person you are! Discovering what they are and developing them is an adventure.
You can when God leads you. (Ps 68:18)
·
Influential. No one else is positioned where you are. You have influence. (Pro 11:16)
·
Inspirational. Just as you have been fired up about a topic from
what someone else has done or said, so you can be inspired from inside and do the
same.
·
One
who makes a difference; your family, friends, your husband are different than
they would have been were it not for you.
Your children are different because of you. "Her children rise up, and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her." (Pro 32:27, 28)
·
A
Lover; you are affectionate, you love physically, intellectually and emotionally;
(Body, Soul and Spirit). (Tit 2:4; Pro 14:1)
·
An
Empathizer. You can feel what others feel.
(Gal 6:2)
·
Intuitive. Somehow you have understanding, a sense, discernment
that is insightful to others in your world.
(Book of Ruth).
·
A
Protector; you are the Keeper ("Guard" in Greek), like a she-bear; pity
the one who messes with your man, your children. Abigail in the 25th chapter of I Samuel saved
her household from being destroyed. In her situation, what would you have done?
How
you think about yourself is very, very important. There is an ideal to copy…She
was wise, gifted, an entrepreneur and such a loving wife that her husband
praised her. (Pro 31) We can do that!
